    3. Fran, It is possible that there was more than one fellow named "Ray" who had a stream rising on his property called "Ray's Branch". I doubt there had become a statewide naming system that would limit a name to just one use. I've seen names like "Mill Branch" that I think was more of a descriptive term than a proper name. Just a thought....
