Listmembers, I have searched (on-line only) unsuccessfully, for the family of Sylvie/ia HARMON, reputed second wife of Willis WEST, Sr. of Sampson County. I have records to show that the eldest son of Sylvie and Willis, Briton/Brittain WEST, was born 1808 Sampson County. If in fact, Briton was their eldest son, that suggests Sylvie and Willis were married prior to 1808; therefore, I am looking for a HARMON family in/near Sampson County on both the 1800 and 1810 census enumerations.
