Listmembers, I have a deed written 1794 in which Isaac PORTEVINT of New Hanover Co. sells land on East side of 6 Runs to Robert MERRITT of Duplin Co. Witnesses to the deed were Samuel WEST, Asa SUTTON and Charles MERRITT. The deed was registered Sampson Co. I would like to correspond with anyone having information on any of these men.
