I have a grandmother in the 1870 Census, Jane Tanner age 50 that goes to live with Theophilis Sepoms??????? age 39 and Nancy age 36, after her husband William Tanner dies in Civil War in 1861. I'm hoping this is her baby brother, in which case knowing what the surname is would be helpful. There is some sort of connection. No listing of a daughter named Nancy in previous Censuses. I have looked in Surname lists and can't find this name or anything close. Tried searching different spellings and they all come back 0 hits. I've looked around in the Censuses and I can't find the name written any clearer. Whatever the name is there is several in the censuses. Got any Ideas or know what this name is? Thanks!!!!! Sandi
