Hello Everyone, I am Sandi Tanner and I have been researching my husbands Tree. I am trying to gather some history on his family for his Birthday in Aug. I am sure this is going to be an endless project. Which am loving. I only have 3 Surnames so far in Sampson County, Little Cohaire, Roseboro area. TANNER, LUCAS and FAIRCLOTH. I'd love to exchange information with anyone researching or coming across these Surnames in this area. I think the William Tanner b. abt. 1800 came in from Asheville, NC because there is a newspaper article printed there about William Tanner from Sampson County who was killed when his house was struck by lighting. Aug 1845. He isn't in the 1850 Census and wife is living with her father. I am in the process of trying to get this article because it might have more information.
