In the Sampson County, North Carolina, Federal Census, I found Needham Thornton, living close to Felix Hines, Jacob Daniel, William Westbrook and Blackwell. For a long time, I have tried to learn the names of my gggrandmother ELIZABETH (born 1795) THORNTON SILLS'S parents. Elizabeth and Clemmons Sills were married in Sampson County, N. Carolina. They named a son James NEEDHAM Sills. Needham Thornton is still there in the 1810 Census with Peter Lee, Arron Lee, John Lee, Westrbrook Lee, several Stricklands, Thomas, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Herod, John and Felix Thornton nearby. Does anyone have information on the family of Needham Thornton? I would be grateful for any info.
