    3. Ron, I am just going to send you Vann records from my data base which might be of interest to you. I apoligize for the size of the print. I am working on a new mail program and don't know how to change it. If you can't read it holler and I'll change the size within my document. Dinkins is an unusual surname and Shade Wilson's brother married a Dinkins in west TN whose mother probably a widow had recently married a John Ward. This John Ward is thought to be their Uncle, brother of Shade's mother Elizabeth Ward-Wilson. Dinkins: 1810 will of JOHN JOSEPH DINKINS names wife Seley/Selah and seemingly young children Anne Lewesar Denkins; Lotty Licinda Dinkins; Lanay Dinkins and Sally Seraney Dinkins. [Have always thought this could possibly be Shade's real first name. This William is mentioned earlier, Feb 1800 when he and Stephen King and Dobbs Young were named to a Jury. Edwd Vann is on lots and lots of Wilson records.William could also be a missing brother who was not living with the family by the time the first census caught up with them. If he was in the Rev War, he might have taken off for the south or middle TN about this point.] [Of these, some of the Wilsons, Blackmans and maybe Holly's ended up in Sampson Co] Mar 18, 1793 Edgecombe: EDWARD VANN of Edge. to JOHN IRWING JACKSON of same. 225 silver dollars. 99 acs which was a grant to WILLIAM DELOACH Oct 28, 1787, on the ES of EDWIN DANCY'S Mill Branch adj.
