Diane, Clinton is the county seat for Sampson Co., North Carolina. it is at the intersection of US highways 421, 721 and State highway 24. Take State highway 24 off of interstate 40 and go west to Clinton From interstate 95, take State highway 24 to the East to Clinton. Clinton is Southeast of Raleigh and directly east of Fayetteville. fyi= When I was down in Clinton, had good sucess at the County Library. The folks at the library was quite pleasant and helpful. also, remember that Sampson county and Duplin county was split.
