    1. [NCSAMPSO] Wiggins from Sampson Co, NC
    2. Betty Wiggins
    3. I continue to work on our long-time brick wall--John "Jack" Wiggins who married as his 2nd wife Catherine "Kitty" Williams. They had 7 children: Edith Catherine b. c.1849, Martha Ann b. c.1851 who married Jessie Hinson, George William b. 6 Jan 1853 who married Anna Eliza Royal, Benjamin Jeams b. c.1857 who married Susan Catherine Warrick, Thomas Jay Lathan b. c. 1859 who married Amy Elizabeth Anders, Rufus Richard b. 29 Aug 1864 who married Florence M. Bordeaux, and Josiah S. b. Aug 1868 who married Lue M. ___ in Alabama. We think John "Jack" Wiggins was married before Kitty and had these children: Jesse, Anna, Maria, Henry and possibly others between 1809 and 1847. They had land on Goshen Swamp until about 1890, in Piney Grove, Bennett's X Roads post office. Kitty Wiggins used to say the headwaters of Goshen Swamp was in her backyard. This land may have been purchased by John Benjamin Sutton, who was a neighbor. Any information on this family would be gratefully appreciated. A lot of people over the years have tried to sort out the Wiggins families living in Sampson County in the 18th & 19th centuries. Betty
