Fulghum was the first engineer on the Atlantic Coastline Railroad on the Brunswick. He lived at Magnolia, NC, headquarters/yard for RR. The Atlantic Coastline was the first railroad in North Carolina. First train ran March 9, 1840. First engine was Brunswick from Weldon to Wilmington and New Hanover from Wilmington to Weldon. Elizabeth "Kitty" Williams (1823-1899), daughter of Bennett Williams (1797-aft 1880) and Keren Jordan (1801-1835). Bennett Williams and wife Keren had children: Kitty Williams (above), Isaiah Williams (29 Mar 1825-13 Apr 1905), a son born about 1827, and Elizabeth Williams born abt 1833. Isaiah Williams (son of Bennett & Keren's) married Annie Sutton (22 Mar 1827-13 Mar 1907) about 1849. They had children: Clarisa (1852), Naney (1854), Thomas (1855), John (1857), Caroline (1858), Sarah (1861), Mary Frances (5 June 1867), Harriet Ann Matilda (15 Dec 1869), and Lewis (1873).
