    3. Have you tried this site? http://www.ncgenweb.us/sampson/cemeteries.htm. Denise Woodside [email protected] heads it up or use to. I am not sure it is functioning correctly either Donna. I submitted some things way back that never made it either. Rootsweb does not have a Sampson Co site for us that I can find. the links on Denise's site are not good. I did several cemeteries, photos and all that are posted to Cemetery Surveys and they use to be on the USGenweb site in the form of a link. That link is not working now. I am not sure why. If I had more experience and time I would TRY to do something but I have little of either right now. I will copy Denise on this message. Maybe she will reply or can help. I have not been able to reach her for a while. Where did you submit your data Donna? Just wondered. 3. Ditto! Thanks so much everyone. I got a landslide of help on this one. No, I have not tried Find A Grave to the person who asked. I had not even thought of that and I use them all the time. Thanks for the reminder. I might have to order the books myself. I am related to EVERYONE in Sampson Co. . REALLY! Would be an invaluable tool for me. Thanks again everyone who responded. Glad to see the list active again. Also, someone asked if I had taken over the list. No I have not but I think last time I looked it did need someone to do that. 2. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, May 28, 2008 1:59 PM Subject: Philip J Rouse I'm trying to trace Philip J. Rouse who shows up on the 1860 Bladen County, NC census as 60 years of age. I cannot find his household in any other census timeframes. I've tried several searches on ancestry with no success. His wife in 1860 was Sarah A, age 50. Children were Sarah A., age 22, Wm. B., age 18, Susan C., age 16. This is also a John R., age 1. Does anyone know where this family came from or where they ended up? I want to prove/disprove that Sarah A. Rouse, age 22, born about 1838, married Enoch Johnson of Bladen. Enoch's wife, Sarah Ann, is listed as being born about 1838 in the 1880 and 1900 census records of Bladen County. The Johnson family history contends that Sarah's maiden name was Rouse. However, the death certificate of son Joseph Manly Johnson gives her maiden name as Pridgen. Thanks, Jason

Try emailing Kent Wrench at [email protected] He is the editor of the Huckleberry Historian, very active in Sampson County genealogy and might know if there are any more of those books for sale. He also might know of someone in the society that has the book you're looking for. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Sharon Dover Romanek Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2008 9:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NCSAMPSO] Cemetery Books Thanks anyways. 3. Hello Phyllis. Are your books something you would be willing to do a look up for someone in? I do not have them and someone contacted me asking for help. I will copy and paste what they need below in case either you or Bradley can help them. I hope that is OK. John Mullin [email protected] is the person needing the look up. I know this is all a bit confusing but I wanted to cover all bases and help John if I could. I was slow replying to him and felt bad about it. His message is below. Thanks so much. Take Care, Sharon Dover Romanek ============ Do you know anyone familiar with the cemeteries in southwestern Sampson County - Six Run, Parkersburg, Taylor's Bridge area? I am looking for 2 graves. I hope to find my two great grandfathers graves. Sincerely, John Frost Murlin William Lowell Parker died 1885 in Sampson County, North Carolina 51 North Carolina Infantry, Company B George R.
