    1. ROLL CALL
    2. Ira King
    3. Hello, I am searching for the family Lines ROBINSON, HOLLINGSWORTH, DEVANE, LARKINS. I am the descendant of a James Robinson, who came from the New Hanover/Duplin/Sampson Counties area on the Black River in North Carolina with his family to Christian County, Kentucky around 1796. I think the James Robinson who came to Ky. may have been the son of James and Tabitha (LARKINS) Robinson. James and Tabitha also had a daughter named Ann Robinson. It stands to reason that James might also have had a sister named Ann who may have been the wife of Stephen Hollingsworth. According to our family history, James returned from the fighting to find his wife dead and his family scattered. He became a wanderer and traveled to Boonesboro and Harrodsburg, KY before coming to the Blue Lick area on Pond River where he spent the winter. He returned home and brought his family including sons, James, Abner, and Green and daughters, Patsy, Mahala and Nancy. His oldest son, Abner was born in 1773. Abner brought a wife, Nancy Duty, born in 1777, and a son Matthew, born in 1796 in North Carolina. James (jr.?), was probably born in 1778. -- Ira D. 3. Jean; This is the last of the Alexander Wilsons that I have found in Sampson. Remember that my putting these families in related clans is not iron clad proof that is where they belong, but my best attempt to sort out the various Wilsons using the records.
