JAMES BENJAMIN JAMES; burial in Rutherford Co. Memorial Cemetery. MISS SCOGGINS died in Baltimore City hospital Sunday after long illness, d/o SAMUEL J. SCOGGINS and the late MRS. MARY STRICKLAND SCOGGINS. Also surviving; brothers, PAUL, of Asheville, CLARENCE, Morganton, MARVIV , Baltimore, HOLLIE of Avondale, BUFORD , Golden Valley, BOBBY of Kings Mtn, HAROLD, Ellenboro and GROVER of Forest City; sisters, MRS. DOROTHY MILES, Chesnee, MRS. LUCILLE HUTCHINS, Baltimore, MRS. PAULINE SPLAWN, Forest City, MRS. LOUISE MELTON, Durham, MRS. WANDA ROBERSON, Cliffside, MRS. ALMA SELLERS, Savannah, and MISS VIVIAN SCOGGINS, of Forest City. --- Sept. 16, 1957 MRS. ELIZABETH M. DAVIS, 100, died at her home of her son, LAMAR DAVIS on the Greenville hwy. She was 100 years old on Jan.25. MRS. DAVIS was born in Rutherford Co. and moved to Spartanburg 16 years ago. Her father was killed in the Civil War. She was the mother of nine children, four of whom still are living. She was married to SAM DAVIS on March 29, 1876. She was a daughter of the late MR. and MRS. STONEWALL JACKSON MOORE. She was a member of the Mount Zion Bapt. church. She is survived by 3 sons, LAMAR, of Spartanburg, PAUL of Greensboro, ARTHUR DAVIS of Greenville; one daughter, MRS. J.F. DAVIS of Clinton; also 19 grandchildren, 22 g-grandchildren and 4 g-g- grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by J.F.
