    3. BlankI am seeking any additional information that you can provide about the parents/siblings of Pleasant Webb. Thanks a million. ================================================================ Pleasant (Plesent) WEBB was born about ca 1760-1765. His son, Elias, said that his father, Pleasant was born in Ireland (not substantiated). He died between 1830 and 1840 in Ohio, USA. Around 1800 Pleasant and family came in to the Ohio valley from Rutherford County, North Carolina. In 1803 (reported to be 45 years old) he was at the licks in Scioto County, Ohio. He is also said to have been a Tory during the Revolutionary War. Pleasant was in Greenup County, Kentucky in 1820 and in Lawrence County, Ohio in 1830, he did not appear in the 1840 census, so it is believed he died between 1830-1840. Pleasant (Plesent) WEBB and Unknown had the following children: James WEBB (1786), Elias WEBB (1788), Thomas Hanley WEBB (1795), Aden WEBB (1797), Temperance WEBB (1799), William WEBB (1801), Margaret WEBB (1806), Sarah (Sally) WEBB (1809), and Baker WEBB (1811). 3. Larry, I have a Nancy WEBB born abt 1806, who married Robert HANEY in Rutherford Co in 1821. Do you have anything on a HANEY connection? Bride: Nancy Webb Groom: Robert Haney Bond Date: 28 Dec 1821 County: Rutherford Record #: 01 127 Bondsman: Johnathan Webb Witness: Alfred Webb, Justice of the Peace Bond #: 000133925 According to other researchers, Alfred WEBB was a minister/pastor. Alfred Webb, born about 01 Feb 1800 in the Old Tryon area of NC became a Baptist preacher of some note, both in NC and, later, in Georgia. His parents are probably Robert Webb and Emelia Clinton, with siblings as Clinton, Elisha, Robert, Edith, Temperence, Delia, Hetty, Jeremiah, Drucilla, Didima, James, and Sarah. The Webbs in Rutherford were leaders. Alfred lived near the Dawson/Forsythe county line in Georgia and pastored both the Mt. Vernon Church in Dawson County and the Mt. Tabor Church in Forsythe. He was moderator of the Hightower Baptist Association (with many Baptist churches in North Georgia) for 40 years. He went to Georgia while in his 30s. [from Fran Goode Akridge on the Rutherford Co maillist] He was married to Arabella Hill. I found these WEBBs on a tax list: 1782 Tax roll for Rutherford Co: 1782 W100 WEBB James N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 W100 WEBB Jeremiah N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 W100 WEBB John N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 W100 WEBB Robert N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 W100 WEBB Thomas N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 W100 WEBB William Jr. N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 W100 WEBB William Sr. N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll 1782 H500 HAYNIE John N/A N/A N/A Tax Roll Any help or connection?
