THOMAS and daughter, HELEN returned from a week's stay in New York. - MR. and MRS. TOM VERNON of Ozark, Ala. are visiting their parents, MR. and MRS. W.C. BLANTON and MR. and MRS. PAUL VERNON here this week. - MR. and MRS. I.B. COVINGTON and son, BOYCE ,Jr. of Wadesboro, spent the weekend here. - MR. W.R. SHERRILL, Jr. spent the weekend at his home in Sylva. - MRS. R.C. CHAPMAN of the Providence section, visited in Forest City Sat. - MRS. NORRIS HEMPHILL of Nealsville, visited relatives here. - MR. and MRS. B.T. JONES were the dinner guest of MR. and MRS.
