Can anyone in Rutherford Cty help me with the Jacob Wolf on the 1800 census of Rutherford Cty, and who the son was and the wife. Have been trying to find out if it was my Jacob wolf b approx 1760's d approx 1796-98 who was married to a Mary Polly Deadman b 1759, Patapsco, MD died approx 1799 or Jacob Wolf b approx 1794( is 1798 on tombstone in Beulah Cemeteary) d 1865 who married unk first then Nancy McEntire Thompson b 1799 died approx 1876 (was Nancy Thompson on marriage bond of Rutherford Cty, NC) The second Jacob Wolf(e) would have been too young to have been a father and listed on 1800 census if the dates are correct. Who is the Elizabeth Wolf? Is she a daughter of Jonathan Fou(t)ch or Elijah Fou(t)ch? If anyone can help I would sure appreciate it. Anyway Forest wrote that in the 1800 census of Rutherford county, NC, there was a Jacob Wolf with one male under 10 and one male under 26 and one female btw 16-26. There was also a Henry Wolf with 2 boys 1 girl and 1 wife Also a Phillip Wolfe with 3 boys 1 girl, 1 wife Also further it goes on to say that: Rutherford County, NC Marriage Bonds page 343: Elizabeth Wolf married a William Wright on 18 April, 1808 with John Foutch as Bondsman In the minutes of the Court of Pleas and Quarter sessions: 1810 October term: Jonathan Wolf son of Jacob Wolf, bound to Benjamin Hyder 1811 19 January Court required Elijah Fouch to deliver Jonathan Wolf (child) to court for reassignment to Benjamin Hyder 1811 8 April. Jonathan Wolfe, son of Jacob Wolf, aged 13 bound to Benjamin Hyder until 21 years of age 1811, 14 April In the case before the court at Last Court on motion of Jonathan Fouch respecting the guardianship of Jonathan Wolf the opinion of the court that the said Fouch is not subject for witnessing that was summoned on behalf of Elizabeth Wolfe on said notice. Now I have a picture of John Wolf with his brother William Cathey who is my 2xgreatgrandfather, and I think that this Jonathan above was from a first marriage of Jacob Wolf my 3xgreatgrandfather who married Nancy McEntire Thompson ( just Nancy Thompson on their marriage bond of Dec 1825) But info I had was that Jacob's first wife was Sarah unk, but still wonder if it may have been Sarah Elizabeth.
