    3. If anyone has anything on this family, I would love to have it. thank you Judy Carver Susan Jones Susan (Sookie) Jones, daughter of Louis Jones and Molly Bridges, married James McGinnis. (James McGinnis was born about 1806. I have Susan born about 1817.) Children of Sookie and James McGinnis: 1. Media McGinnis, married Thompson Jolley, their children were: Louisa, Ella, Lena, Salinas, Jim, Euphory. From the book "Footprints Left Behind" ( Media full name was Louisa Amedia McGinnis. She was born about 1849. Wiliam Thompson Jolley was born June 23, 1846. William Thompson was the son Terrel and Nancy Jane Jolley. He is buried at New. Pleasant Baptist Church Cem., Gaffney, S. C. Almedia and W. T. Jolley ahd the following children; l. Nancy S. Jolley, died young. 2. James "Jimmy" Jolley born about 1870 married Julia Simmons. 3. Selenas Jolley, born about 1871, married 1st. Nora Young, married 2nd. Martha Lovelace. 4. Louisa Jolley born about 1875, married B. Doyle Jolley, 5. Lora /Laura Jolley 6. Ella Jolley married Eddie Scruggs, 7. Ufford Jolley married Floy Jolley, 8. John Smith "Johnny' Jolley, born aobut 1873, married Bessie Hicks born 1887, died 1966, buried Rutherford County Memorial, Rutherford County, N. C. 9. Lonie Jolley married Charles Roberts.) Selenas Jolley was my great grandfather. Selenas was born on Nov. 17, 1875, in Cleveland County, N. C. and died on Jan. 2, 1954, in Cherokee County, S. C., he married Larro Nora Hesentine Young. Nora was born on October 14, 1880 and died July 16, 1912. They lived at Gaffney, S. C. He then married Martha Lovelace. Selenas and both his wives are buried at New Pleasant Baptist Church, Gaffney, S. C. Selenas and Nora had the following children. 1. Ocia Jolley married 1st Cliff McCraw, 2nd. Jessie Huskey; 2. Odell Jolley married Esther Lee; 3. Otto Jolley married Slanie Cobb. Selenas and Martha Jolley had one child Ralph Jolley who married Inez Biggerstaff 1st. and Katie Peeler 2nd. 2. Sarah Ann McGinnis married Elias Scruggs 3. Smith McGinnis, married Jane Hill 4. Mary Clementine (Tiny ) McGinnis, born August 31, 1855, died Aug. 15, 1919, married William James (Billy) Horton, Born June 5, 1854, died March 2, 1896, son of Consard (Rodney) Horton and Annie Jones. Both buried Cherokee Creek Church Cem. Their children were; Susan, Collis, Julius A., Arthur B., Lambert D., Will.
