    1. Neighbors around 1st Broad/Magness Creek
    2. Hello Everyone, While in Cleveland County in Lawndale I was able to visit with a Spangler. She told us of the neighbors who lived around her family, I would say in the early 1900s. This would be off of Ball Park Rd. at the area where the 1st Broad River intersects with Magness Creek. The land she was on was bought from Kiser and Hoyle. To the southeast of her would have been Hampton Williams. On the other side of Hampton Williams were the Beams. Across the street would be the 1st Broad River/Magness Creek. There was an old house on this land, probably dating to the 1870s, 1880s. She said she knew that John Harrelson had lived on the land. If anyone is researching Harrelsons, I traced back a bit. Next to Harrelson (and probably where my 5th great grandfather Ben Wilkinson lived) were the Crows. The Beams may be descendants of Martin Beam who bought land from Ben Wilkinson and Thomas Wilkinson about 1805. The Crows may be descendants of Abraham Crow who had two Wilkinson children bound out to him. I would like to hear from anyone researching these names and maybe we can figure this out using deeds and such. Thanks, Melody Booker 1st Broad River John Harrelson B Spangler (Kiser - Hoyle) A Ben Wilkinson (1800) L Hampton Williams L Crow P Beam A R K R D.
