    3. The State Library which is in the State Archives building on Jones St. in Raleigh has recently acquired microfilm reels of Revolutionary pension files. These are in alphabetical order by surname and given name on a number of reels. They include all the papers in each pensioner's file. Some files have many many documents. Since all pensioners from every state are included, I would think that other states may have these files in their archives/libraries. Since you have a file number, you may have already checked this source. I can tell you that I found some of my relatives' files full of details about when and where they enlisted, under whom, their movements with their companies, where they were stationed, even details about whom they fought and where. One document even mentions General Washington and his orders and later mentions the defeat of Cornwallis! I hope this helps.
