Sure hope someone out there can help me find Martha Ann Hamrick. From the 1850 Federal Census for Cleveland County NC Page 140 Household #343 Drury Hamrick, 27, M Anna Hamrick, 26, F Mary A Hamrick, 6, F Biddy A Hamrick, 4, F Sarah A Hamrick, 2, F Their neighbors consisted of Hamrick, Hawkin, Rollins, Jolley Dobbins, Gillespie, etc. By 1860 Drury is no longer with the family when it was enumerated( household #853) two doors from Anna P McKinney Hamrick's parents: Willis McKinney & Martha Buchanan McKinney: A P Hamrick, 38, F Mary Ann, 15, F S B, 14, F J A, 12, F Martha A, 2, F Their neighborhood consisted of Hamrick, Green, Blanton, Simons, Magness, Hord By 1870, the household was apparently broken up entirely as I've not been able to find Anna. Did she die, remarry, move away? 1. Mary Ann D Hamrick (1845-1909) married Richard S Cogdale on 21 Apr 1861. Richard was killed in the first day of battle at Gettysbury & Mary Ann later married his younger brother Perry Green Cogdale. Mary Ann lived in the Rehobeth Methodist Church area of Cleveland County. 2. Sarah Biddie Ann Hamrick (May 1846-1900/1910) married Thomas Buchanan about 1869 & lived in the Bakersville Township of Mitchell County, NC near other members of the Buchanan & McKinney clans. 3. Julia Ann Hamrick (1848-1880-1899) married William Jasper Jones 10 Dec 1865 and continued to live in Cleveland County. What happened to little Martha? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Judy
