Hi, Nancie... The library on our Lovelace/Loveless website has a copy of Lynch's Map, which hangs in the research room at the Old Tryon County Genealogical Society in Forest City. There are two main parts. This part shows the location of major towns and townships as they were about 1900. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lovelace/us/states/nc/rutherford/Maps/gll0001.Townships,_towns_and_communities,_c1900_to_present.jpg The other maps in this directory http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~lovelace/us/states/nc/rutherford/Maps/ show locations and listings of landowners in the county. Here is the readme file for that section: "RUTHERFORD COUNTY MAPS The maps in this section are in JPG format and are made available for download. The scans were done at a high resolution in order to allow zooming in on the names. They are HUGE files, and if you try to view them with your browser, the page will take forever to load completely. Please feel free to download the files to your hard drive and view them with a graphics viewer. I use Netscape, and to download files without viewing, I right-click on the link, then choose the "Save link as" option. Other browsers have a similar option. I hope these are useful. Please see the file descriptions (the .txt files) for information on the maps." Hope this helps.... Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
