    3. 1941 Obituaries Chesnee, Jan.19- THOMAS DIXON KENNEDY, 76, widely known resident of Rutherfordton, N.C., died at his home this morning after an illness of a year. He is survived by the following children; MRS. S.M. LEE, Chesnee, MRS. ANNIE ETHYL SANDERS, Columbia, MRS. VIVIAN HICKS, MISSES OLA and EUNICE KENNEDY of Rutherfordton, rt.1., W.L. KENNEDY, Chesnee , T.B. and G.S. KENNEDY Rutherfordton; 2 sisters, MRS. CROWELL BRIDGES, Columbus, N.C., and MRS. HATTIE WHITE, Chesnee and a brother, S.E. KENNEDY, Gaffney. Funeral services at the Cooley Springs Baptist church, interment in the churchyard. Active pallbearers; HAROLD JOLLY, JIM JOLLY, R.B. NODINE, BRAXTON HALL, BILL ROACH, FRED GOSSETT. Flower bearers; LAURA JOLLY, PAULINE JOLLY, EDNA ROBBINS, ONIE MAE ROBBINS, BONNIE WOOD and ELMAR HICKS. Blackwell funeral home of Chesnee. ----- Rutherfordton, Jan. 19- Funeral services for MRS. M.R. CAMP, 82, will be held at the Piney Knob Baptist church, with Rev. W.C. LYNCH officiating. MRS. CAMP died at the home of her daughter, MRS. N. FRED McMILLAN of Knoxville, Tenn. after an extended illness. MRS. CAMP whose home was near Rutherfordton, has been spending the winters with MRS. McMILLAN since the death of her husband in 1921. She was the d/o of the late CAPTAIN NEVILLE MORROW of Rutherford County. She was the member of the Piney Knob church and enjoyed a wide circle of friends. She is survived by five children, MISS CORDELIA CAMP, Cullowhee, MRS. THOMAS W. SPRINKLE, High Point, MRS. McMILLAN, ZEBULON C., and N. BUFORD CAMP of Washington, D.C.; one brother, JOHN MORROW, Forest City and a sister, MRS. DAVID HENDERSON, this county. ----- Forest City, Feb. 12- Word of the death of R.C. KING, 60, Orangeburg, S.C. , merchant and a native of Forest City, who died in Columbia hospital after a long illness has been received here. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist church in Orangeburg, where MR. KING was an honorary deacon. Interment was in the Orangeburg cemetery. He was a s/o the late TOM and MRS. SARAH HARRILL KING of Forest City. Mr. King left here in 1906 to engage in the furniture business in Orangeburg. Survived by his wife, MRS. LENA WILLIAMS KING; 2 sons, JAMES E. KING and RALPH C. KING, Orangeburg; 5 sisters, MISS ALICE KING, MRS. CHARLES BYRD, MRS. T.R. BOWMAN, all of Lilesville, N.C. , MRS. DOCIA McDANIEL, Forest City, and MRS. WILL TAYLOR, Rutherfordton. ----- Forest City, Feb. 12- Funeral service were conducted at the home for JAMES ANDREW MODE, 73, farmer who died after a brief illness. Burial in the Mount Vernon cemetery. He is survived by his wife, who is the former, MISS DOVIE HARDIN; one daughter, MRS. S.S.
