John Green1797-1858 married Aletha McKinney 1819 and settled in the Piney Mountain section of Rutherford County . They had ten children; only two were girls. They sent five sons to the CSA. Three made the supreme sacrifice, one died of disease and one returned. I have some information on all but have searched for more than thirty years for the parents of John Green. Any information greatly appreciated! Will gladly exchange. Betty berbet@nh.adelphia.net
Betty, Do you know William Green's relationship to John? He was the bondsman on his marriage bond to Aletha. I'm researching the Robbins and Splawn families, and have the McKinney's in my database. I'd love to have more info on the descendants of John and Aletha. Thanks, Tamara berbet wrote: > John Green1797-1858 married Aletha McKinney 1819 and settled in the Piney Mountain section of Rutherford County . They had ten children; only two were girls.
