    3. The News, Thursday Morning, May 19, 1927 Mrs. Jane White Died Friday Night Well known and aged woman passes - Was a devoted Church Member - Funeral Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Jane White died at the White home place in Green Hill Township last Friday night after an extended illness. Funeral services and burial took place Saturday afternoon at Pleasant Grove Baptist church with the pastor, Rev. A. A. Walker in charge, assisted by Rev. Z. D. Harrill. A large number attended. Her grave was covered with beautiful Flowers. The deceased was twice married. First to Abram Mooney. He died many years ago. Two children were born to this union, Mrs. James Mauney and Mrs. West Hudgins, the latter of near Oakland . Mr. Mauney is dead. Her second marriage was to the late Henry White. One son, Monroe White, was born to this union. He lived with his mother at the home place. Her last husband died about 28 years ago. Two brothers, Messrs E. Henry Melton of Shingle Hollow and John Melton of Sunshine and one sister, Mrs. John Harris of Spindale survive. Mrs White was the daughter of the late Daniel Melton (mother Narcussis LeQuire, ra). She was 79 years of age and has been faithful member of the church since girlhood. She was kind, honest and Upright. She never spoke harm of anyone. To know her was to love her. She was a kind Christian woman and will be missed in the home, church and community. Central High Seniors Large class to graduate Friday Night The following invitations have been received.
