    3. 1946 Forest City, Sept. 12.- Funeral services for MRS. O.C. TURNER, 47, supervisor of public welfare for Rutherford County who died at the Rutherford hospital yesterday after a long illness, were conducted at the Turner home this afternoon. Interment was in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at Spartanburg. A native of Spartanburg, she was the former MISS EUGENIA PHILLIPS, d/o former County Commissioner J. VOLNEY PHILLIPS and the late MRS. PHILLIPS. MRS. TURNER attended Limestone College and taught in the Forest City Schools before coming head of the welfare dept. 9 years ago. MR. and MRS. TURNER moved to Forest City from Spartanburg in 1919 and she was a member of the First Baptist church here. Surviving are her husband; her father; a daughter, MRS. DOROTHY WORICK of Bevea, Ohio; 4 sisters, MRS. J.R. SHIPPEY, MRS. JOHN GUTHRIE, and MRS. T.A. LOCKMAN, all of Spartanburg; and MRS. S.A. BARNES of Marion; 2 brothers, G.R. and J.J. PHILLIPS of Spartanburg. ----- Forest City, Sept. 5.- Funeral services for MRS. EULALIE ELLIOTT REID, w/o the late DR. GEORGE P. REID, pioneer physician of Rutherford County, who died at her home on W. Main St. yesterday after an illness of several months were held at the First Methodist church, interment in the Cool Springs cemetery. MRS. REID was a charter member and former president of the Forest Citry Womens' Club and held offices at the church. Surviving are 2 daughters, MRS. ELZIE MYERS and MISS RUTH REID of Forest City and one son, JOHN K. REID of Rutherfordton; One sister, MRS. C.L. MOSS of Forest City also survive. ----- Free post- Don't sell, share !
