Rutherford County, NC Deed Book #32-33 page 628 Decm the 25th 1821 No344 This Indenture made this 18th Day of December 1815 between James Shearer Of the County of Rutherford & State of North Carolina of the one part & Benjamin Loveless of the County & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the sd Shearer for & in Consideration of the sum of $100 by the sd Loveless to him in hand paid at & before the sealing & Delivery of these presents the Receipt & payment thereof is hereby acknowledged hath sold & Conveyed & by these presents Doth Convey & Confirm unto the sd Loveless & to his heirs & assigns forever a Cer tain tract or parcel of land in the County aforesaid on the waters of Webbs Creek Beginning at a post oak Webbs third corner then No 86 Et 40 pole to a post oak Bensons Corner then with Bensons line Et 22½ pole to a stake then So 180 pole to a persimmon bush in the branch then Down the branch as it meanders to a stake in Webbs line then No 5 Wt to the Beginning Containing 50 acres be the same more or less with all & singular the [?] & Improvements thereunto in any manner appertaining and the sd Shearer for himself his heirs Exers & admrs Doth by these presents & Covenant to war rant & forever Defend the aforesaid land & premises to the sd Loveless & to his heirs & assigns from the lawful Claim or Claims of all persons what soever in witness whereof the sd Shearer hath hereunto set his hand & seal on the Day & year above written in presence of us his William X Green James Shearer {Seal} mark his Levy X Burns mark
