    3. 1926 Monroe Holland Died Yesterday [ Special to the Herald] Rutherfordton, Jan. 8- MONROE HOLLAND, one of Rutherford county's best known citizens died at the Rutherford hospital this morning at 10 o'clock of heart trouble. He had been ill 2 months. Funeral services will be conducted at Mt. Pleasant Baptist church, near Forest City. He was a member of board of county commissioners from 1912 to 1914. He is survived by his widow, 6 sons, 3 daughters, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters. Sons: S.H., O.{?}., ROY, S.D., W.C. JR., and CLYDE HOLLAND, all of this county except, Roy who lives in Atlanta; the daughters; MRS. KELLY HAMRICK, MRS. CHIVOUS TATE and MRS. MYRTLE ROBBINS, all of this county; brothers are L.A., J.L., O.W., T.C., and J.O. HOLLAND, while the sisters are MRS. T.J. WILKINS and G.O. WALL. He was a native of Rutherford county. Four inches of snow here. --- 1933 Forest City, March 9- MRS. A.V. HAMRICK, whose husband is a prominent merchant and business man of Sandy Mush, died at her residence Monday following a short illness. MRS. HAMRICK was taken ill Sunday week, succumbing to pneumonia, Monday night. Funeral services were held at her residence Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. C.L. TAYLOR in charge. Interment was in Providence Cemetery. MRS. HAMRICK was born at Fairforest, S.C., March 29, 1861. She joined the Baptist church when a young girl and was a faithful member. In addition to her husband MRS. HAMRICK is survived by 3 children, MRS. ARTHUR ROBBINS, C.R. HAMRICK and MISS SARA HAMRICK; one granddaughter, MARY SUE HORN ; one brother, FRED HENSON, of Atlanta; and two sisters, MRS. B.C. HANES and MRS.
