I am researching the early BATES lines in Rutherford County as I have a John A [probably Augustus] BATES born about 1795-1800 in Rutherford County, I believe him to be a brother of the Martin BATES born about 1810-1814in Rutherford County. Martin removed to Polk County, Tennessee. I am trying to get an idea of who the parents of Martin might have been, as well as Martin's siblings.
