Hi, all I realize this isn't the Cleveland Co. list, but I have an 1891 marriage certificate for Samuel Lovelace and Julia Philbeck filed in Cleveland Co. Both families will trace back to Rutherford Co., which is why I'm asking the question here. Sam and Julia were married by G. M. Webb, Baptist Minister, whom I assume to be George M. Webb. They were married at "McMurry's Stoare" in Shelby. The witnesses were J. J. McMurry, whom I assume to be the store owner, C. R. Doggett, whom I assume, based on 1880 census records to be Charles R. Doggett, and Albert Green, who I have no idea about. Anybody know anything about McMurry's Store or JJ McMurry? I can't find any McMurray's in the 1880 or 1900 Cleveland Co. census records which might match this J. J.
