Bushrod Suttle was the oldest son of Joseph Suttle & Mary Doggett. Joseph Suttle and family (including Bushrod) moved to Rutherford County NC sometime in the late 1770s/early 1780s. Bushrod is believed to have married a Mary (surname unknown) in Rutherford County circa 1783. Information from the 1800 and 1810 Rutherford County census indicates that Bushrod & Mary had 5 boys and 1 girl, but only two have been identified (son John born 6 June 1785 and daughter Anna born circa 1801, both apparently in Rutherford County). I an searching for Bushrod & Mary's marriage date/location, Mary's maiden surname, and names/birth dates for the four unknown sons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Perry Suttle suttlepm@aol.com
