Seeking information about Henry CARLOCK/CURLOCK/KERLOCK and family, listed under household of "Henry CURLOCK" in 1790 census, Morgan District, Rutherford Co., NC. Henry probably b. ca. 1740 - 1760. Believed to be son of Frederick CARLOCK (1720 - 1792) of Mecklenburg Co., NC, and father of George W. CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, b. ca. 1779, NC, as well as at least three daughters listed on the 1790 census. This is also believed to be the same person as Henry KERLOCK, mentioned in Mecklenburg Co., NC, court minutes, Aug. 4, 1787, as receiving money "for the orphans of Christopher Landess, deceased, viz Jacob, Felix and Elizabeth". Jacob, Felix, and Elizabeth LANDESS may have been living in Henry's household at the time of the 1790 census. The above-mentioned George W. CARLOCK/CEARLOCK, m. Rachel LANDERS, granddaughter of the above-mentioned Christopher LANDESS. I am a direct descendant of George and Rachel.
