    1. Crawford DNA testing
    2. My Crawfords, possible John Crawford and son George Washington Crawford (wife Mary (Polly) Hunter) moved from Rutherford Co., NC around 1830 to Monroe Co. TN. From there George and Mary ended up in Union Co., GA by the 1850 census, and their son Levi was my gg grandfather. Now one of my Crawford cousins submitted his DNA for testing and with only 5 tests completed so far, we matched two of them! Both men live in Canada. The father of one moved their from Scotland and the other has his line traced to Ireland, probably Ulster. We need more Crawfords to be tested. How did our Crawfords arrived who arrived in Rutherford Co., before 1800 match a Scot who moved to Canada from Scotland in the 20th century? We are still waiting for the rest of the test results of one of the matches who took the 37 marker test to see if we continue to match perfectly. We did the 25 marker test, and one man only did the 12 marker test. If you know of a Crawford who came from Rutherford Co., please encourage them to take this test. It can open many new and interesting avenues for research. Ida Crawford Madison
