1943 OBITUARIES Rutherfordton, Dec.16- MRS. LANEY PADGETT, 67, died at her home near Racepath Baptist church last night after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at Racepath church of which she was a charter member. She is the last of her family and is survived by her husband SYDNEY R. PADGETT and 2 sons, A.L. PADGETT, Newton and A.W. PADGETT of Camden, S.C. She was born and reared in SOUTH CAROLINA. --- Spindale, Dec.25- VERNIE LIGIH YELTON, 51, died at his home in Spindale last night following an illness of several weeks. He was a machinist for Spindale Mill company. MR. YELTON moved here from Clinton, S.C. about 13 months ago. Surviving are his wife, MRS. LOUISE YELTON; a son, HAROLD YELTON; his father, E.E. YELTON of Westminister; a brother, B.F. YELTON , near Spindale; and 5 sisters, MRS. L.T. HAMRICK, Swannanoa, MRS. CLETUS MORGAN, Westminister, MRS. LENDA CALLAHAN, Greenwood, S.C., and MRS. ROMEY GREEN and MRS. W.Z. GUSSEY, both of Sandy Mush.
