Obituaries Shelby, Aug. 17- Last rites for MRS. NANCY BORDERS HOPPER, 57, who died at the Shelby hospital as the results of a broken hip suffered 8 days ago at her home on Kings Mountain road, were conducted at the New Hope Bapt. church., burial in church cemetery. Survived by her husband, W.G. HOPPER; one daughter, MRS. JOE MOORE; 2 sons, JOHN S. HOPPER of Shelby and HARRY HOPPER of Texas; 2 sisters, MRS. ELIJAH HOPPER of Bat Cave and MRS. LELA SEPAUGH of Shelby; 3 brothers, ROBERT, CHARLES and JOHN BORDERS of Cleveland Co.; and 2 grandchildren. ----- Forest City, Aug.7- Funeral services were conducted at Oak Grove Meth. church for MRS. MARTHA BOLTON, 71, who died at her home near Ellenboro after a short illness. Burial was in the church cemetery. She had been a member of Oak Grove church 53 years. Survivors include one daughter, MRS. ELIZABETH TOWERY, at home; one son, ODUS BOLTON, at home; a sister, MRS. JANE NOLEN of Caroleen; a grandson, FORREST TOWERY of Caroleen; one great-grandson. ----- Shelby, Aug. 7- FRED M. WEAVER, 50, WW veteran of South Shelby died at the Shelby hospital after a two weeks illness. He had been employed at a mill store here since 1918. He was a native of Cleveland Co. During the war ,he served in the 81st Division overseas. Funeral services were to be held at the Mt. Sinai Bapt. church. MR. WEAVER, who was unmarried, is survived by one brother, VIRGIL WEAVER of Cleveland Co; 3 sisters, MRS. J.H. PEARSON, Flint Hill; MRS. L.V. MARTIN, Forest City and MRS. MILLER LOVELACE, Polkville; stepmother, MRS. C.E. WEAVER; 3 half-sisters, MRS. C.M. SCRUGGS, Floyds Creek; MRS. G.B. HAWKINS, Boiling Springs and MRS. W.E. CLARY of Flint Hill; 3 half-brothers, CARL WEAVER and GRAHAM WEAVER of Flint Hill and SHERMAN WEAVER of Shelby. ----- Free post- nancie
