    3. Obituaries Forest City, Aug. 12.- Funeral service were conducted at the First Meth. church here for MRS. ELIZABETH STRADLEY GOFORTH, 35, w/o J.T. GOFORTH. Burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery. She was a graduate of Rutherford hospital training school and for about 5 years before her marriage served as a public health nurse for a life insurance company. She was married 9 years ago to Mr. Golightly. Survived by her husband, a daughter, Elizabeth,6; parents, MR. and MRS. J.R. STRADLEY of Asheville and the following brothers and sisters; MRS. W.L. KILPATRICH, MRS. H.B. WILSON, J.H. and WOODROW STRADLEY of Asheville, MRS.JAMES S. SHERWOOD of Maiden, J.R. STRADLEY, Jr. of Hickory and MISS CAROLYN STRADLEY OF hUNTINGTON, W.Va. ----- Shelby, Aug.12- JOHN C. HAMRICK, 90 died at his home in the Poplar Springs community. MR. HAMRICK was one of the best known farmers of the county. He was one of the largest land owners and also a stockholder in several textile mills. He was born and reared in the county and lived all his life within a mile from the place of his birth. His body was to lie in state at the Poplar Springs Bapt. ch. Burial in churchyard. Surviving are his widow, MRS. CHARLOTTE HARRELL HAMRICK, 4 sons, A.T., G.V., and WAKEFIELD HAMRICK, all of Cleveland Co., and J.S. HAMRICK, Statesville; one brother, ALONZO M.
