HENRY C. GILES has returned from a visit in S.C. She was accompanied home by her mother, sister and brother, MRS. T.C. PERRIN, MISS ROSA MARGARET PERRIN and JACK PERRIN of Bishopville and a nephew, BOBBY PERRIN GRIFFIN, of Florence, S.C. for the weekend. - MRS. MARY WEBB is visiting her daughter, MRS. JOHN DANIEL and MR. DANIEL in Lincointon. - MISS MYRTLE HEMPHILL is visiting her mother in Bridgewater. - MRS. D.M. STAHL, MRS. GEORGE STAHL and son are visiting relatives in Chicago. - MRS. MINNIE F. BLANTON and JOHN BLANTON spent Saturday with MR. and MRS. PRICE HAND in Belmont. - MRS. TED ALCOCK spent this week with relatives and friends at Myrtle Beach, S.C. - MR. and MRS. T.R. PADGETT, MISS LILAH PADGETT and MRS. REUBEN McBRAYER attended the furniture show in High Point this week. - MISS CAROLYN GREENE is visiting her aunt, MRS. L.C. ADAMS and DR. ADAMS in LaGrange. ----- DEATHS Spindale, July 2.- L.N. BURGESS, 66, local retired textile worker and former resident of Greenville and Gaffney died and services will be held this afternoon at the First Bapt. church of Spindale. Interment in church yard. Pallbearers will be members and officers of the Sunday school class. Surviving are his widow MRS. RACHEL JEFFRIES BURGESS, 2 sons, J.H. BURGESS of Newberry and LEWIS BURGESS of Shelby; 3 daughters, MRS. L.E. BROOME, Greer; MISS MARY BURGESS and MISS RUTH BURGESS, Spindale; his mother, MRS. MARTHA BURGESS, Gaffney; 5 brothers, 3 sisters, 17 grandchildren and 3 g-grandchildren. ----- Forest City, Aug. 12.- CHARLIE BLANKENSHIP, 36 well known farmer and citizen of the Tanners Grove community, died at the Rutherford hospital following an illness of about 10 days. Funeral services will be held at Shiloah Bapt. church, interment in church yard. MR. BLANKENSHIP is survived by his widow; one son, GRAY BLANKENSHIP; his mother, MRS. RAINEY HARRILL of Forest City; 3 half-brothers and 3 half-sisters, EARL, OSCAR, and WILLIAM, and JENNIE MAE, INEZ and MARGARET HARRILL, all of Forest City. ----- Free Post- nancie
