I am trying to make a connection to these families in Rutherford Co. I suspect that they are related to my Fosters who were in Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas and the Indian Territory. My ancestor Joseph Foster lived in close proximity to a Green Langford in Denton Co., Texas and later in Carroll Co., Arkansas. This Green Langford's grandfather was George Langford, a shoemaker from NC who lived for a while in Yell Co., Arkansas. I do not know the name of Green's father as he died before 1860. Some of Joseph's children married Clouds and Sparks in McIntosh Co., Oklahoma. Does anyone know anything about the origins of the early Ruthford Co. Fosters? I've seen online data that indicates they might originate in Albemarle Co., VA. Are they related to the nearby Spartanburg and Greenville Co., SC Fosters? I am particularly intested in the Daniel and James M. Foster on the 1820 census. Is this Daniel the one who shows up in McMinn Co., Tennessee? Where did James M. Foster go? I am also interested in the Matthew Garrett on the War of 1812 roster--he was listed next to Daniel Foster. How does he relate to the Mary Garrett on the 1790 census? _________________________________________________________________ FREE pop-up blocking with the new MSN Toolbar get it now! http://toolbar.msn.click-url.com/go/onm00200415ave/direct/01/
