Request information about location of Island Ford or Island Ford community. Have been informed that it was an old community in the late 1700's located on the NC/SC state lines in the vicinity of Rutherford County, NC. There was supposedly a Baptist Church with cemetery at Island Ford. The old church since destroyed though cemetery said to be intact, likely overgrown and old. Specifically I am seeking location of graves for George Turner and his wife Ann or Nancy Turner. George was buried mid March 1804. I do not know date nor burial date of his wife Ann.
