Hi, all Thanks to everyone who has come back with possible locations for Island Ford, the residence of Elizabeth Lovelace Braddy at the time of her pension application for her husband's service in the Confederacy. As I stated in my original post, the date of the application was 27 Jun 1903. The application was filed in Rutherford Co., so Elizabeth would have been a resident of Rutherford Co. The application states that both she and her son-in-law J. W. Wyatt, with whom she was listed in the census in 1900, were both residents of Island Ford PO, Sulphur Springs Township. So this cannot be the Island Ford in Catawba County, which most responses have mentioned. Just wanted to set the record straight and say that I am still wondering where this Island Ford PO was..... Thanks again for your time and your responses :-) Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus]
