My proven ancestor among the bunch was Micajah, who may have been a brother to Caleb, Carlton, James and John. Some of these may have been cousins rather than brothers, and the father (or fathers) may have been named James, James William, or Caleb. Most of what I have on the family at that time comes from Rutherford Co. NC and Spartanburg Co. SC land records. Micajah married Elizabeth McCLURKIN, a sister to the Nancy and Hester McClurkin who married Robert and Zachariah WALDROP in Rutherford Co.
