Spartanburg Herald Obituaries 1949 Rutherfordton, Jan.28- CAPT. HASSELL G. WALL, 32, resident of Shelby, who was killed in Germany, March 21, 1945, will be held at High Shoals Bapt. church near Henrietta Sunday at 2 :PM. Capt. WALL entered service July, 1942. He was commissioned an officer in 1943 and went overseas Sept., 1944. He received the Purple Heart, Silver Star, with cluster and was personally decorated by Gen. George C. Patton. He was a member of the Baptist church and the son of MR. and MRS. GOIN WALL of Shelby, formerly of Henrietta. He is survived by his wife of Wilmington; 2 sons, BILLY and HASSELL WALL, JR.; 2 brothers, MAL WALL, Lumberton and FRANK WALL of Shelby and one sister; MRS. J.H. COOPER, Spindale. ----- Spindale - Funeral services for MRS. LECTOR EPLEY, 84, who died at her home here, will be conducted at Spencer Baptist Church. Burial will be in Green River Church cemetery, where she was a member.
