James Morris SR., James Morris JR., John Morris, William Morris on October 20,21 1776 enlisted In Porter's Company, Captain Robert Porter by order of Brig. Gen. Rutherford, Tryon County, North Caroline. James Morris received a bounty grant of 287 1/2 acre for service as a Revolutionary War Solider located in the bounty grant area of newly formed Franklin County, Georgia in 1784 The above info was found in a self printed booklet in the Banks County Georgia Library in Homer Ga. The name of the booklet is The Progenitors and Descendants of Francis Asbury Morris 1800--1875 Franklin and Henry County Ga. I have tried to contact the authors but one has died and the other is suffering from Alzheimer's. Any help would be most appreciated. Vicky Genealogy without good sources is mythology.
