Some time ago I abstracted Rutherford Co. deeds that involved Lindseys. One of them was as follows: Deed Book 44, p 43. 3 Aug 1811, recorded 1 Jun 1840. James Lindsey to Abel Hurdin (or Hardin) for $30, land on headwaters of Little Hickory containing 40 acres. Bounded by Jonathan Hurdin (Hardin?) and Collins. I hope this helps. Margaret Lindsey Smith
