Hi, folks. Is there anyone on the list who considers himself or herself an expert on estate probate during the period of about 1845-1870 in Rutherford Co., NC? I have a group of estate papers dated 1868 that has confounded me for a long time, and some other evidence that leads me to a certain conclusion. I'd really like to run it by someone who knows more than I do to see if my hypothesis is feasible in terms of the laws of the day. If my explanation does fit in terms of the law, I'd also like some advice on how to find more evidence to support it. Any takers? Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
