I have no interest in this company all, but I wanted to make sure everyone knows this is out there for us. The LDS/FamilySearch site has the entire US 1880 census AND index on CD-ROM. It is the neatest thing I have come across in quite a while (my personal opinion ONLY). It is not the images of the census. It has been extracted with heads of household and all members of the family, ages, sex and race. If you want to see the neighbors of the person you found, you just click "neighbors", and you can then browse through the entire township/district. I think there are 57 CDs in the entire box. It is divided into regions, i.e. Atlantic States, Southern States, Prairie States, New England States, Great Lakes States, Western States, AND CUMBERLAND STATES which includes Va., W.Va, Carolinas (NC/SC), Kentucky & TN. I assume you must buy the entire US census, as it didn't mention selling the individual regions. For those who want to know, it is $50 for the entire census is available through the FamilySearch web site. This is just for information to anyone who hasn't seen this project yet. Y'all may already know about it, as I am usually the last to know these things. Have a great day! Gloria
