Hi, all Hopefully someone will be able to give me a helping hand here... I am working on a project for another researcher. I have the following from "Bridges to the Past", p61 (the original article was in the Forest City paper 26 Aug 1970): "William Brooks Operated Grist Mill Near Ellenboro" William Brooks (b1745, d. 1844) "...entered land on the Sandy Run Creek, middle fork, in the year of 1794 and the grant was made in 1796 for 100 acres, located near the present Drury Dobbins Church in the edge of Cleveland County on the Ellenboro, Polkville Road. He operated a grist mill in that area for many years, and the mill shoals can still be seen..." " A few years later, on January 14, 1808, he purchased from William Berryhill an additional 300 acres of land 'Lying and being on both sides of Sandy Run', including the mill seat and mill." I have copies of the above grant and of the deed, with the metes and bounds, and am trying to determine the exact location of the mill. Would any of you be familiar enough with this land to give me a hand on this? I am trying to plot out these and a few other parcels of Brooks's land for this other person. Thanks for any help.... Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg
