Granville Webb was a son of Elias Webb who was a son of Pleasant Webb. After the Civil War, Granville and family moved to Sauk County, Wisconsin. Notice the other Webb family in the 1880 Wisconsin census. Could these be relatives. If so, maybe Pleasant Webb came into NY or CT or MA and moved down into NC.
