Nathan Briscoe seemed to have resided for a time in SC also before Rutherford Co., NC. Can anyone identify his 1st wife, his actually birth date, or and any descendants??     3. Hi Carol, I've got some additional info on this family and a question. You are missing a daughter of Thomas Robbins & Nancy Brisco. According to Thomas' will: 2 April 1857. Recorded Aug. Court .[1862] I, Thomas Robbins, being in proper mind and memory, but somewhat paralyzed in body. I give unto my beloved wife Nancy Robbins all my property to hold during her life time. At her death the land to be divided as, begining at father's old corner SW to speculation line all below to belong to P. Briscos line to be for Joseph Robbins, Philip Robbins, Chesterfield Robbins and their heirs. The remaining part to on both sides of river to Margaret Nodine, Tleby [Iby] Flyn & Sarah Splan and Jane Hester and their heirs. I appoint Joseph Robbins and John Nodine my executors. Wit: A. Briscoe' son of Phillip & Nancy Barton Briscoe is actually N.L. and is the same as in the 1860 census named Lafayette. I suspect he was Nathan Lafayette but have no proof. And for my question - You referred to NC Bible records in some other info you sent me as a reference for children Hannah and Harriet of Phillip and Nancy Barton Briscoe. Where can I obtain a copy of those bible records? I have more info on the children of Phillip Henson and Sarah Brisco if you need it. Also saw the post from Charmaine, and the name William 'Squire' Morgan jumped out at me. These Morgans are probably related to Sarah Morgan, mother of Daniel Boone, who is buried in Rowan County. I have a relationship to them on my father's side of the family. The Briscoes, Robbins, Splawns are my mom's side. It was truly a 'small world' back then...
