My Great-grandmother ended up in Polk County, NC. She was Mary Ann (Polly) Splawn Dyer. My Childers were in Polk County also my Great-grandmother Louisa Childers married James Gibbs in Polk County, NC on 10 Mar 1874. They then moved to Spartanburg County (Campobello), SC [1880 census]. They were living next door to her parents John & Betti Childers. I know they had at least 3 children Louisa or Lou, Logan & Lizzie. I'm having a hard with the Childers, Splawns and the Dyers.
