I have also found my information on the internet and tried to have it removed to no avail. I caution everyone to be aware of OneGreatFamily and stay away from them. Some years ago, before FTM gave us the choice of privatize our file before passing it on to a family researcher I gave my files to a cousin in TX only to find it a few years later, when I was surfing the internet. Not only did I find my information there once, I found my person information listed 6 times. Up until then I knew nothing about this organization. At that time on their front page they stated you must have the consent, permission, from the individuals before you submitted their personal information. I e-mailed them and told them that I had not given anyone my permission to post the information on me, my husband, my children, and grandchildren, my siblings and their families, including the dates and places of births for everyone, not only my parents, grandparents, etc who are deceased. I request the names and e-mail addresses of those who submitted the information. I was e-mailed 3 different names and e-mail addresses. I only recognized one of the three names and it was one of the two e-mail addresses that bounced. The third person denied she had sent the information to OneGreatFamily and that I should get in touch with them. When I e-mail her back and told her they were the ones who gave me her name and e-mail address, she just said that she had forgotten that she had sent it. I finally got in touch with the one in TX, and he told me that when he sent OneGreatFamily the information it was a free site, now it is a membership site also. After, I got through telling him that I would never share my information with him again, he apologized and said he would see if he could get them to remove it. The last time I was able to sneak a peek they still have not removed it nor even privatize it like Ancestry.com and Family Tree Maker as I had request them to do. Hazel
